Subliminals
Help Pass the Bar
I purchased your Memory Learning CD series about 1.5
months before I took my state bar (the PA bar exam).
I e-mailed you about that time period regarding
instructions on how to use these CDs, as I did not
have the 60-day minimum recommended in your
instructions (that came with these CDs).
Anyway, I really felt that I needed something to give
me the motivation I needed to do some intense studying
for that exam and stay on track, especially since I
failed the exam several months prior on my first
attempt. (A lot of negative self-talk involved, quite
a lot.)
I was really skeptical as to the efficacy of this
product. During the final week before my state bar
exam, I was very anxious and I had a hard time getting
started sometimes because of my level of anxiety.
But, after listening to the audio CDs for awhile to
get myself jump-started, I found that I could focus
(since my anxiety was relieved).
So, thanks to your CDs, I'm now a licensed attorney in
PA. I'm taking the California bar exam this July and
I am again using your CDs, especially whenever I feel
very tired or exhausted or not motivated -- I feel
focused very quickly after listening to your CDs for
about 10 or 20 minutes.
My experience with the CDs are different this time
than the last time in that I no longer feel that
unexplained wave of depression (which I asked you
about in e-mail some months prior) that I felt when I
was listening to the CDs during my prior bar exam
preparation experience. Instead, I feel focused and
everything in terms of my study habits seem to fall
into place.
While a lot of good study material and a good work
ethic is required to pass the state bar, I feel that
the hypnosis CDs are really invaluable to getting over
the psychological barrier that some of us might have
in passing the exam (there is so much material: PA
tests about 20 subjects, it's a 2-day exam, 6 hours of
testing each day; the pass rate for a 2nd time taker
is about 50% -- significantly lower than first time
takers (65 to 70%), etc.).
When I took the PA bar exam last February, I had an
iron will -- I felt unbreakable and I really needed &
wanted & knew I could pass the exam. In fact, I did
much better than that, getting a 90% on the practical
performance portion (called the multistate performance
test (MPT)) and a 90% on one of the essays -- scores
in the 90%+ range are very rarely awarded by the
graders. (The other sections, I had average passing
scores.) I also scored well above the mean on the
multistate bar exam portion (multiple choice) (MBE) (I
did not pass on my first attempt due to a low MBE
score) -- my scaled score was a 148, enabling me to
waive into the D.C. bar without examination and the MN
bar without examination (should I wish to). Plus, the
average score in each subject area tested on the MBE
is a 20; in two areas, I got a score of 25 points out
of 33 (torts & constitutional law).
Bottom line: your product is absolutely excellent and
is well worth every penny.
Star athletes say that their edge over others is
basically a mental edge. I think that the same goes
for test taking. A lot of people buy into the
psychology of sport, but they don't buy into the
psychology of learning. If they did, they, too, could
get an edge.
I mentioned using your CDs to help me prepare and pass
the PA bar exam on my web page
http://mysite.verizon.net/lkim/pa_bar_exam_experience.html.
(There's a hyperlink to your site on there.)
You can include anything that I've disclosed to you in
this e-mail in a customer testimonial, should you
wish.
Thanks for helping me make the transition from mere
law school graduate & patent agent to a patent
attorney!
